The convergence of nanotechnology, cryogenics, and layered materials fabrication has ushered in a new era of exploring spin and correlation physics with unparalleled precision. In this talk, I will delve into the fascinating realm of proximitized graphene-based heterostructures and synthetic Rashba superconductors. By strategically manipulating spin and correlations within these systems, we can unlock a wealth of intriguing proximity phenomena.

I will provide a comprehensive overview of the theoretical and methodological frameworks that underpin our understanding of these materials. From first-principles calculations to effective models, I will guide the audience through a systematic approach to investigating spectral, transport, relaxation, superconducting, and even topological properties. Through this exploration, we aim to illuminate the path towards innovative applications and deepen our knowledge of fundamental quantum phenomena.
