【Recruitment】The "Physics Department (Institute) Courses" Teaching Assistants Recruitment of 2024 Fall Semester
Other than filling the【Application Form】, applicants should also submit their transcripts.
1. Application Deadline: From now until August. 12nd, (Friday). Please email Ms. He at sofi@phys.ncku.edu.tw.
2. Email Subject: Please indicate “【2024 Fall Semester】Physics Department (Institute) Courses/including support for various general physics courses (excluding general physics laboratory course) Teaching Assistant Application." Late applications will be placed on the waiting list.
3. Qualifications: Physics graduate students (Master's and Ph.D.). Priority will be given to those who have previously served as course teaching assistants for the department and have shown excellent performance. Notification of acceptance will be around August 21st to 23rd (or announced on the department's website).
**Accepted applicants must attend the first class of "Physics Teaching Topic Discussions" (students will be asked to sign during this class, and the department will assist in adding the course "Physics Teaching Topic Discussions" to your schedule). For the date and time of the first class, please refer to the department's website announcement (usually on the first Monday or Friday of the semester opening week, the location and the time will be determined).
4. Instructions:
**Upon acceptance, the department will send "(a) Acceptance Confirmation" and "(b) Blank Registration Form" to your @gs.ncku.edu.tw mailbox. (Please check your gs mailbox regularly for these emails.)
(1) Accepted students are required to print the registration form during the first week of the semester and present it to the course's instructor for registration and signature. (For those assisting in two or more courses, a separate registration form is required for each course.)
Please personally submit the printed registration form to Ms. He at the department office between Sep. 9 to Sep 13. (The registration form is a necessary document for receiving the teaching assistant scholarship; please be aware of the submission time!)
(2) Job Description and Responsibilities: When presenting the "registration form" to the course instructor for signature, please have a thorough communication with the instructor and make sure you fully understand all the teaching needs of the instructor.
(3) Teaching Assistant Scholarship: 5000NTD/month per person (for teaching assistants in external department general physics courses and department-specific courses). Receive for 4 months in a semester.
