Exploring Visible & Invisible Universe with Cosmic Lenses

Speaker : Postdoctoral Researcher Dr. HUNG-HSU CHAN(詹弘旭) (AMNH, City University of New York)
Time : 2023 / 12 / 25 10:30
Room 36567, 5F, Department of Physics, Science Building
I will present the exploration of visible and invisible realms of the universe through the powerful lens of cosmic phenomena. The study encompasses the interplay of wave-like behaviors, shedding light on the nature of dark matter. Additionally, it investigates the structural intricacies of quasars, unraveling the mysteries concealed within these cosmic powerhouses. The lensed quasar search, a key focus of this inquiry, serves as a gateway to unveiling concealed cosmic phenomena. By combining observations, theoretical frameworks, and innovative search methodologies, this research seeks to advance our understanding of the cosmos across multiple dimensions, contributing to the broader landscape of astrophysics and observational cosmology.
