Accurate description of chemical bonding environment at sold-liquid interface involves the complexities with disparate properties by element-related electronic structure and liquid environment barrier. Herein, we have examined the electronic accessibility into the electrochemical reaction via in-situ liquid cell and operando X-ray spectroscopy, delivering to various interface phenomena between metal oxide and graphene materials. During electrochemical redox matters, the structural/chemical impact on graphene-like sample was determined well for further graphene electrode and window applications. Water splitting process and CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) were demonstrated in transition metals (Co, Ni, and Cu) for the catalytic role, characteristic of operando X-ray spectroscopies. The approach offers the unique insight into the active reaction at the intermediate state with plainly mechanism-understanding, extensive in advanced electrochemical and catalytic applications.
