Neutron Stars as a Physics Gold Mine

Neutron stars are unique objects in the universe, where the four fundamental forces in nature interplay with one another. In addition, they provide a unique venue for the investigation of matter under extreme conditions. This presentation is meant to give an (strongly biased) overview on neutron star physics. I will talk about how it began, what it looks like today, and where recent progress will lead us to in the near future.
